College is a time for people to mature into adults. Where intelligent dialogue between reasoning individuals incorporates exam-ination of decisions made by both authority and subordinates.We are not in the military, where blind obedience is the expected conduct.

Being a proponent of the death penalty I was enraged a county prosecutor would urge the state to abolish the death penalty. It has been a longtime belief of mine proper use of the death penalty would deter crime. I believe if a criminal knows he is going to lose his life, that he is facing a horrific death for a crime, he might think twice about doing that crime.

G-rock radio (106.5) hosted its first annual Winter Melt Down, featuring the band Shiny Toy Guns, in Point Pleasant Dec. 2. The show was inside Jenks Club, and at the door of the club, the Shiny Toy Drive was going on. Concert attendees could donate toys for underprivileged children.
